ABOUT
me

Welcome

A woman with face decorations, wearing floral jewelry and a colorful floral jacket, taking a selfie inside a tent.

I’m Cathy, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

I’m a neurodivergent sound therapist, founder of Colours of Sound and someone who understands what it feels like to spend years carrying more than your nervous system was ever meant to hold.

For over 25 years I worked supporting families, often working with SEN children. Throughout that time i developed a deep understanding of emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation and the importance of feeling safe, seen and understood.

But my passion for this work didn’t start with a qualification, It began with my own story…

As an undiagnosed neurodivergent child, I often felt different. I spent many years searching for a sense of belonging, trying to understand where I fitted in and why life sometimes felt harder than it seemed for everyone else.

Over the years, I navigated my own experiences of overwhelm, burnout, self-discovery and healing. Through that journey I discovered something powerful:

When we feel safe, supported and connected to ourselves, everything begins to change.

That realisation eventually led me to train with the College of Sound Healing and create Colours of Sound.

Today I support children, expectant mothers, neurodivergent individuals and women navigating stress, burnout, ADHD, PMDD and perimenopause. Through sound therapy and nervous system support, I create spaces where people can slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with themselves.

My mission is simple:

To help people feel safe enough to exhale.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child or your family, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.

No pressure.
No judgement.
No need to have it all figured out.

Just a safe space to pause, reset and come home to yourself.

Let’s walk this healing path together, one breath, one sound, one moment at a time.

MY mission?

I’m here to help bring you home to yourself.

My mission is to make sound healing accessible, affirming, and deeply nourishing — especially for those who are often overlooked in wellness spaces. This is a space where differences are honoured, needs are respected, and healing unfolds at your own pace.

what I value:

  • Authenticity

Truly being 100% yourself, without fear, judgment or shame. To fully shine as you are and as you were meant to be.

  • Community

Being part of a community is essential to life as a human, we were never meant to be alone the human brain needs connection to thrive and survive.

  • Freedom

Freedom is the foundation of exploration of all things. Without freedom we can not truly expand learn or grow.

here’s my story

How it all started…

I grew up in a dysfunctional home with a very emotionally unavailable mother. My childhood and teenage years were marked by bullying, isolation, and a deep sense of being misunderstood.

I often felt invisible — never good enough — and my self-esteem was nearly non-existent

I coped the only way I knew how, trying to self-soothe and survive.

Then, unexpectedly, something shifted.

My boyfriend’s mother offered me a Reiki session.

I had no idea what to expect — but during that session, something extraordinary happened:

I levitated off the bed.

A young girl wearing a pink sweater hitting a gong with a mallet. The gong has a symbol in the center, and the reflection shows a rainbow-like arc.

That profound spiritual experience opened a doorway. It awakened in me a deep connection to energy, and to the unseen forces that guide us.

From there, although a slow process I began to explore different healing modalities, slowly reconnecting my body and mind, and working through the trauma of my early years. My 20s and 30s were still difficult but more spiritual practices and experiences started to land at my feet.

A quiet inner knowing began to grow — that I was here for a reason, that my pain had a purpose, and that I was meant to help others who were feeling what I had once felt.

When I discovered sound healing, it resonated with me on a soul-deep level. The shifts it created in my mental and emotional well-being were profound.

In truth, sound healing saved my life.

Which brings me to you.

This world can feel overwhelming, especially when you feel alone, unseen, or unsupported. I know that feeling intimately — because I’ve been there, too.

That’s why I do this work.

My mission is to be the pebble in the pond — creating a ripple of healing and transformation that reaches the next generation.

Because when we heal ourselves, we help heal those who come after us.

When you come to me for a session, I’ll create a safe, serene space where you are truly held and nurtured.

Because of my own life experiences, I have an intuitive ability to connect with you energetically — often sensing the unseen, and knowing exactly what you need to feel safe, grounded, and seen.

You’re not alone anymore.

I’m here, walking this healing path beside you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first sound bath experience and will definitely do it again. Tensions of pregnancy feel relieved. I would highly recommend.”
