welcome home

I’m Cathy, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

I’m a neurodiverse sound therapist with over 25 years of experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) childcare.

I support children, expectant mothers, neurodiverse individuals, and perimenopausal women on their journey to reconnect with their inner selves — restoring calm, balance, and peace within both the mind and the home.

My goal is simple: to help make life and parenting more manageable — and more peaceful.

My personal path to healing — from childhood into adulthood — has been long and challenging. As a neurodiverse child, I often felt misunderstood and alone, without a true sense of belonging, even within my own family.

That longing to belong led me to a rewarding 25-year career as a professional nanny, where I had the privilege of nurturing and guiding many young lives. But as the world shifted, I felt called to support others in a deeper, more holistic way. After a year of intensive training with the College of Sound Healing, Colours of Sound was born.

This work is more than a profession — it’s my soul mission. I’ve created Colours of Sound as a safe, nurturing space for those who feel unseen, unheard, or unworthy — a place where healing can begin, and where you are always welcome just as you are.

Whether you're here for yourself, your child, or your whole family — you are welcome.

Let’s walk this healing path together, one breath, one sound, one moment at a time.

MY mission?

I’m here to help bring you & your family home to yourselves.

My mission is to make sound healing accessible, affirming, and deeply nourishing — especially for those who are often overlooked in wellness spaces. This is a space where differences are honoured, needs are respected, and healing unfolds at your own pace.

here’s my story

How it all started…

I grew up in a broken home with emotionally unavailable parents. My childhood and teenage years were marked by bullying, isolation, and a deep sense of being misunderstood.

I often felt invisible — never good enough — and my self-esteem was nearly nonexistent.

Throughout my 20s and 30s, I moved through life feeling lost, unsure of my path.

I coped the only way I knew how, trying to self-soothe and survive.

Then, unexpectedly, something shifted.

My boyfriend’s mother offered me a Reiki session.

I had no idea what to expect — but during that session, something extraordinary happened:

I levitated off the bed.

A young girl wearing a pink sweater hitting a gong with a mallet. The gong has a symbol in the center, and the reflection shows a rainbow-like arc.

That profound spiritual experience opened a doorway. It awakened in me a deep connection to energy, and to the unseen forces that guide us.

From there, I began to explore different healing modalities, slowly reconnecting my body and mind, and working through the trauma of my early years.

A quiet inner knowing began to grow — that I was here for a reason, that my pain had a purpose, and that I was meant to help others who were feeling what I had once felt.

When I discovered sound healing, it resonated with me on a soul-deep level. The shifts it created in my mental and emotional well-being were profound.

In truth, sound healing saved my life.

Which brings me to you.

This world can feel overwhelming, especially when you or your child feel alone, unseen, or unsupported. I know that feeling intimately — because I’ve been there, too.

That’s why I do this work.

My mission is to be the pebble in the pond — creating a ripple of healing and transformation that reaches the next generation.

Because when we heal ourselves, we help heal those who come after us.

When you come to me for a session, I’ll create a safe, serene space where you are truly held and nurtured.

Because of my own life experiences, I have an intuitive ability to connect with you energetically — often sensing the unseen, and knowing exactly what you need to feel safe, grounded, and seen.

You’re not alone anymore.

I’m here, walking this healing path beside you.
